(Undated)  --  Cyber Monday is turning out to be the biggest online shopping day in history.

Data from IBM shows online sales jumped nearly 21 percent when compared with the same day last year.  The average online order on Cyber Monday totaled just over $128.

Cyber Monday also put the topper on the busiest five-day online shopping spree on record.  Sales bested the same period last year by more than 16 percent.

An economist with the International Council of Shopping Centers estimates that shoppers have now completed about 37 percent of their holiday gift buying, which means for many of us, there's still much left to do.
