(Cupertino, CA) -- A new report says Apple plans to release two larger iPhones this year. The "Wall Street Journal" says the larger iPhones will have displays of 4.5 inches and a screen bigger than five-inches.

The larger phones are part of the company's strategy to sell more mobile devices in Asia where bigger screens are popular because they are helpful for writing Asian characters.

The phones are expected in the second half of 2014.
