(Washington, DC)  --  Stocks are in positive territory in early trading on news that the economy added way more jobs than expected in February.

The Labor Department says 175,000 non farm jobs were added to the books last month.  The unemployment rate is holding just about steady at 6.7 percent, up from 6.6 percent the previous month. Most economists thought today's monthly jobs report would show the economy added roughly 150,000 jobs.
