(KFYI News) -- There's a new way to get through customs for eligible travelers.
The Mobile Passport Control app allows iPhone and iPad users to submit passport and other information before a customs inspection. The app does not require pre-approval and is free to use. Officials with U.S. Customs and Border Protection say a traveler's information is protected, too.
Right now, the program is only available at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. However, it should be expanded to more airports by the end of the year. The app should also be available to Android smartphone users soon.
